Onsite massage is a clothed treatment, performed with the recipient seated on an ergonomic, extremely comfortable and fully adjustable portable massage chair.  In the true spirit of “holistic” bodywork, each treatment is different and always tailored to the recipient's needs on the particular day, providing an oasis of personal space within any time frame from 20 minutes to an hour.  Techniques used can range from traditional massage strokes, deeper tissue work, pulsing (a rocking movement - wonderful for opening the joints), traditional Indian head massage, creative visualisation and chakra balancing.  The possibilities and combinations of possibilities are endless, and will be applied responsibly and caringly by your highly trained therapist, depending on your needs on the day and always with your ongoing well being in mind.

To ensure your needs are met each session will begin with a consultation to assess your physical and emotional state.  This will include questions about your health to ensure that your massage is sculpted around any medical conditions you may have.  Massage is considered a very safe therapy, however there are a few conditions which are contraindicated (not recommended for massage) and these can include recent heart attack or stroke, deep vein thrombosis or acute infection (ie: influenza). Some conditions may require medical permission to be obtained before therapy can commence, however this will all be discussed before the day of the treatment and it is extremely rare that a person cannot receive any form of therapy whatsoever.  Please see the consultation form (which will be provided with the booking confirmation) for a list of conditions which your therapist will need to know about in advance.

All sessions will end with some suggestions for ongoing care and self-maintenance based on the therapist's observations and your feedback.
